What Your Waste Becomes
The PHANTOM 3M³ treats organic and mixed waste without combustion and recovers it as one of five output types. Which output you get depends on what you feed in.
Each feedstock is routed to the output it suits best. Fuel-grade streams (timber, plastics, oil sludge) become solid fuel; nutrient-rich organics (food, manure, fish) become compost or liquid fertilizer; and clean cellulosic biomass (bark, bamboo) can additionally be routed toward a bioethanol feedstock. Contaminated soil can also be washed for reuse, and end-of-life appliance plastics become fuel. Glass, metal and stone cannot be treated.
Combustible solid fuel
Dense, fuel-grade solid recovered from high-carbon feedstocks.
Produces a combustible solid fuel — recoverable for energy use where an offtake route exists; otherwise, the reduced ~65% mass lowers landfill volume and cost.
Agricultural compost
Sterilised, nutrient-bearing solid for agricultural use.
Compost for crops, rice paddies and fruit trees. Manure can also be mixed into animal feed; construction wood can be used alone as leaf mould (it is low in nutrients on its own).
Liquid fertilizer
A diluted liquid feed that helps crops grow faster than standard fertilizer.

Bioethanol pathway
Cellulose is broken into a glucose-rich liquid in a single step — a shortcut past conventional multi-stage processing.
Solid + liquid — both streams find a use: solid → compost, liquid → bioethanol feedstock. Nothing is sent to landfill.
Soil remediation
Contaminated soil is washed so it can be returned to use.
Washes contaminants out of the soil — arsenic content, for example, can be reduced to as little as 1/100 — leaving treated soil for reuse.

Notes & Assumptions
- Bioethanol is a capability, not a guaranteed yield. The bioethanol route is evidenced for clean cellulosic biomass such as bark and bamboo. Treated or painted construction timber is routed to solid fuel, not bioethanol.
- Feedstock-to-fertilizer mapping. The seawater-based liquid fertilizer formulation (~80% seawater, diluted 500×) is specified by the manufacturer. The specific organic feedstocks feeding this route are grouped from the manufacturer's recycling categories and should be confirmed for a given waste stream.
- Output mass. The unit reduces input to roughly 65% of feed mass; the exact split between solid and liquid depends on feedstock and the selected output route.
- A small wastewater byproduct is produced. Subcritical water hydrolysis also produces a small liquid wastewater byproduct. Any disposal cost depends on your site's effluent handling, and is expected to be minor relative to the landfill savings.
- Electronics and home appliances. For end-of-life appliances, rare metals are first recovered from the circuit boards; the residual waste plastics are then processed to a fuel-grade solid. Metals and glass cannot be processed and must be separated first.
- Medical waste. Per the manufacturer, infectious medical waste is sterilised — microorganisms are killed — and the treated residue is then handled as general (non-infectious) waste; metals and glass cannot be processed. Organic fractions such as food waste and incontinence products can be routed to compost.
